Sous Chef for Modern Spanish Tapas Restaurant

About the role

The Iberian Pig is a modern Spanish tapas restaurant seeking a Sous Chef to lead kitchen operations in its Decatur location. You will oversee all stations, support the culinary team, and help deliver a high‑energy, fast‑paced dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring stations are set up, stocked, and running smoothly for service.
• Lead and support staff by assigning tasks, delegating workload, and working all stations including expo.
• Assist with ordering, inventory management, scheduling, and new menu rollouts.
• Check deliveries, verify quality, manage storage, and reduce waste through effective prep and rotation.
• Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, and train new team members on policies and procedures.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a fine‑dining environment as a Lead Line Cook, Sous Chef, or equivalent kitchen leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage kitchen operations, inventory, and staff in a fast‑paced setting.
