Sourcing Specialist

About the role

Sandvik Mining is looking for a Sourcing Specialist to lead strategic sourcing for direct‑material categories such as Hydraulics, Power Group (engines, transmissions) and Drive Systems in Alachua, Florida. The role focuses on supplier management, cost optimisation and compliance while supporting the company’s innovation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Hydraulics, Power Group and Drive Systems to ensure competitiveness and supply resilience.
• Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews and enforce Sandvik policies (NDA, anti‑bribery, trade compliance, contracts).
• Perform market analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities and total cost of ownership improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance and HR to align sourcing plans with business objectives.
• Monitor sustainability, safety and risk mitigation across the supplier base.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply‑chain management or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in direct‑material sourcing or procurement.
• Ability to work in the United States on a full‑time, indefinite basis without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/MRP platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
