Sourcing Specialist – Indirect Procurement

About the role

Sandvik Mining is looking for an experienced Sourcing Specialist to lead indirect procurement strategies across multiple categories, including logistics, facilities, capital projects, and HR services. The role focuses on cost optimisation, compliance, and supplier performance within the Rotary Drilling Division in Alachua, Florida.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories such as facilities, infrastructure projects, logistics, HR services, VMI, tooling and fixtures.
• Ensure supplier compliance with Sandvik policies, including NDAs, anti‑bribery, trade compliance and contract standards.
• Conduct market analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities and monitor supplier capabilities.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and adherence to sustainability and safety requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, assess risks and oversee high‑value projects and services.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance and HR teams to align sourcing plans with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in indirect sourcing or procurement.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on a full‑time, indefinite basis without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Negotiation and contract management.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as anti‑bribery, trade regulations and procurement policies.
• Market analysis and supplier performance assessment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
