Sourcing Specialist – Engineering & Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist to partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations in delivering custom‑engineered products. You will translate drawings, specifications, and bills of materials into reliable supplier relationships that drive cost efficiency and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and product specs to determine required components and materials.
• Identify and qualify new domestic and international suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical parts.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules; issue purchase orders and monitor supplier commitments.
• Collaborate with Engineering on alternate parts, value‑engineering opportunities, and custom designs.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives and supply‑chain improvements.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or availability.
• Maintain accurate sourcing and supplier records in ERP systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of sourcing, purchasing, procurement, or supply‑chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Experience sourcing mechanical, electrical, industrial, or engineered components.
• Strong negotiation skills and supplier‑management experience.
