Sommelier – Fine Dining Wine Service

About the role

Join the front‑of‑house team at Triple Creek Ranch as a Sommelier, delivering an upscale wine and beverage experience in a luxury Montana getaway. You will work closely with the Beverage Manager to ensure every guest enjoys expertly curated drinks in a warm, elegant setting.

Key responsibilities

• Present, recommend and serve wines, spirits, cocktails and non‑alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Maintain the dining room and rooftop lounge ambiance, ensuring cleanliness and proper presentation.
• Collaborate with the Beverage Manager on inventory, ordering and wine list updates.
• Handle wine opening, pouring, and proper storage, including occasional use of cleaning equipment.
• Assist guests with wine pairings and answer beverage‑related questions.
• Lift and transport cases and equipment up to 75 lb, and move frequently between dining areas and storage.

Required profile

• Physical ability to move constantly, climb stairs and lift heavy items.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and staff.
• Commitment to responsible alcohol service and adherence to state regulations.
• Valid Montana alcohol server certification (or obtain within 60 days).
• Introductory Sommelier certification (or higher) preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of global wine regions, varietals and tasting notes.
• Ability to describe, recommend and pair beverages with menu items.
• Proficiency in using POS systems for invoicing and sales tracking.
