Solutions Engineer – US West

About the role

As a Solutions Engineer you will drive technical sales cycles from discovery through proof‑of‑concepts and implementation. You will translate complex security requirements into compelling demos and architecture proposals, working closely with technical stakeholders to showcase how Cogent’s AI‑powered platform can strengthen customers’ cybersecurity programs.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to deliver polished demos and deep‑technical sessions.
• Design and run end‑to‑end POC engagements that demonstrate the technical value of Cogent’s solution.
• Collaborate with Account Executives on deal strategy and sales cycles.
• Provide product feedback and roadmap input to R&D.
• Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth hand‑offs from pre‑sales to post‑sales.

Required profile

• 7+ years of enterprise Solutions Engineer experience in cybersecurity.
• Proven track record working with Global 2000 organizations.
• Experience with technical cybersecurity products, preferably in vulnerability management.
• Deep industry relationships across customers, partners, and vendors.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and craft creative technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and strong executive presence.
