Solutions Architect - Kubernetes

About the role

Mirantis, a Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure company, is adding a Solutions Architect to its Customer Success team in Austin. The role applies architecture experience in Mirantis Kubernetes Engine and Kubernetes environments to support and enable adoption of the platform with enterprise customers and partners. It works closely with Sales, Engineering and Product Management and acts as an advocate for customers throughout the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Work onsite with strategic enterprise customers, delivering solutions architecture consulting, technical guidance and knowledge transfer, and establishing trusted advisor status.
• Lead proof of concept and pilot implementations of the platform in key customer accounts.
• Present platform strategy, concepts and roadmap to technical leaders in the customer's organization.
• Develop best practices and guidance for containerizing application platforms.
• Serve as customer advocate to Product Development, Sales and Marketing teams.
• Help partners develop service delivery skills through mentorship, training and engagement shadowing.
• Create repeatable assets such as methodologies, blueprints, tools, white papers and knowledge articles.

Required profile

• BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of consultative, customer-facing architecture and post-sales experience.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, with experience building, deploying and maintaining business-critical apps.
• Comfort speaking with executives, IT management and developers.

Required skills

• Container orchestrators (Kubernetes or Swarm).
• Linux and/or Windows architecture and tools.
• Deployment to private and public clouds (VMware, AWS, Azure, etc.).
• DevOps concepts: automation, CI/CD, configuration management, serverless.
• Web, networking, storage and security protocols (HTTP(S), TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, AD/LDAP, NFS, SAN, NAS).
• Scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Development in Java, C#, Ruby, Node.js or Go.
