Software Test Engineer – Optical Test & Calibration

About the role

SYLUX, an infrared sensing and AI‑driven perception company backed by COMPAL, is looking for a Test Software Development Engineer to design and implement optical test and calibration systems for high‑volume manufacturing of infrared ADAS cameras. The position is based on‑site in Goleta, California.

Key responsibilities

• Develop software for optical test equipment and burn‑in stations supporting RFQs and supplier evaluations.
• Architect, deploy and maintain globally standardized test and calibration system software.
• Integrate test software with hardware, create user‑friendly interfaces, and manage change releases.
• Contribute to concept designs, specify requirements and select components for test stations.

Required profile

• 2‑5+ years experience in test software engineering for ADAS camera optics.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Systems Engineering.
• Proven track record delivering high‑volume calibration and functional test equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a global team.

Required skills

• C/C++ programming.
• Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) and Visual Studio.
• Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Eclipse, WiX (Windows Installer XML).
• Object‑oriented design, UI development, and test station hardware integration.
• Optical test software development (MTF, intrinsic calibration, environmental stress testing).
