Software Test Engineer – Medical Device Integration

About the role

You will join a high‑performing software team in Philips Image Guided Therapy, focusing on testing and verifying software solutions for cardiovascular diagnostics. The role ensures functional, safety and performance requirements are met while implementing effective risk controls.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management and the Product Owner to create customer journey maps and user story mappings for new software functionality.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure software requirements are complete, clear, testable and ready for validation.
• Develop and document test scenarios, test plans and test cases covering functional, performance, reliability, safety and localization testing.
• Maintain full traceability between requirements and test cases to achieve 100 % coverage and validate all requirements through structured testing.
• Participate in Scrum teams, risk management activities such as FMEA, and contribute to sprint execution and software release validation.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer, Verification Engineer or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience working with global software development teams and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Test case management tools: Jama, Jira, TestComplete, Quality Center.
• Desktop test automation tools: Qt Squish, PyTest, WinAppDriver.

What we offer

• Base salary range $115,000 – $182,000 per year.
