Software Engineer, Windows AI Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to lead the Windows AI Automation platform at Sola. You will design, build, and operate a desktop automation stack that connects Windows/.NET clients, virtual machine fleets, and server‑side AI execution. The role can be performed remotely or on‑site in our New York office.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical direction for the desktop controller, Windows VM fleet, and AI execution pipeline.
• Develop and maintain the Windows desktop automation platform, including session management, remote access, and screen capture.
• Integrate the platform with AI models and backend services, ensuring reliable, deterministic execution.
• Operate and scale Windows VM fleets, handling deployment and monitoring at enterprise scale.
• Collaborate with backend and AI engineers to deliver end‑to‑end automation solutions.
• Implement observability, logging, and reliability features across the stack.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping production software on Windows/.NET.
• Comfortable working with low‑level Windows technologies such as Win32 or COM.
• Ability to move between Windows desktop, virtual machines, and Linux server environments.
• Self‑motivated and effective communicator, with a track record of remote or on‑site collaboration.
