Software Engineer – Strategy, Innovation & Planning (SIP)

About the role

Invesco’s Strategy, Innovation & Planning (SIP) team is looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and scale next‑generation AI applications that solve complex business problems. You will work in a collaborative, agile environment with a startup mindset, leveraging AI‑assisted coding tools to accelerate idea‑to‑MVP cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with data scientists, data engineers, and investment professionals to create innovative AI‑based tools.
• Rapidly prototype solutions using AI‑assisted coding (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and agentic frameworks.
• Develop and enhance Invesco’s Generative AI platform, including system prompts, agentic workflows, and LLM‑integrated features.
• Build cloud‑native microservices and micro‑UI components that integrate with AI orchestration layers.
• Implement validations, evaluations, and guardrails for custom agents across business use cases.

Required profile

• Creative technologist comfortable with rapid experimentation and continuous learning.
• Experience working in agile, cross‑functional teams with a focus on AI innovation.
• Strong interest in generative AI, agentic frameworks, and modern development practices.
