Software Engineer, Robotics

About the role

We are building general-purpose robots that operate in real environments. As a Robotics Software Engineer you will work across the full stack, from low-level controls and firmware to locomotion, manipulation and fleet deployment, delivering code that runs on physical hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and tune core robotics software for locomotion, whole-body control and bi-dexterous manipulation.
• Bring up new robot generations, integrating actuators, sensors, motor controllers and onboard compute.
• Develop and maintain real-time control software in C++ with emphasis on reliability and performance.
• Build and use physics-based simulation infrastructure to validate behaviors before hardware deployment.
• Debug failures on physical robots, analyze telemetry and logs to improve system robustness.
• Contribute to scaling tools such as fleet monitoring, behavior testing pipelines, operator interfaces and CI/CD infrastructure.
• Collaborate with teleoperation and data-collection systems to support learning-based policy development.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience developing robotics or real-time control software.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, firmware and AI/ML teams.
