Software Engineer – Platform Infrastructure

About the role

Humanoid is building commercially‑scalable humanoid robots and is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Platform Infrastructure team in San Diego. You will work closely with a technical lead to develop the core systems that provision, update, and monitor robots at fleet scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain cloud control‑plane services on AWS, including Terraform‑managed infrastructure, ECS workloads, PostgreSQL databases and S3 storage.
• Develop on‑robot daemons that handle secure boot, OTA updates, telemetry publishing and state synchronization with the cloud.
• Write production‑quality code, automation tooling and test frameworks that support the end‑to‑end robot lifecycle.
• Collaborate daily with firmware, applications, manufacturing, systems and operations teams across multiple global offices.
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools to improve development speed and code quality.

• Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to receive and act on feedback constructively.
• Comfort tackling unfamiliar, hard problems and learning new domains.
• Humility and a collaborative mindset.
