About the role

Fabric Health is seeking experienced software engineers to join an evergreen talent pipeline. The role focuses on building reliable, secure, and high‑performance systems that directly impact clinical workflows and patient care. You will work on technology that determines how quickly patients receive care and ensures clinicians have the right information at the right moment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and own production systems that operate under real clinical load.
• Make high‑stakes technical decisions with incomplete information and clearly articulate trade‑offs.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design guidance, and mentorship.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and clinical experts to turn ambiguous problems into well‑tested solutions.
• Debug, harden, and implement safeguards to prevent repeat failures.
• Ensure systems meet security and compliance requirements for healthcare data.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement optimizations.
• Contribute to team technical direction and, at senior levels, help shape platform architecture.

Required profile

• Mid‑level or senior software engineer with a proven track record of shipping production code.
• Demonstrated ability to own complex systems and make independent technical decisions.
• Experience with building scalable services that handle high volume of transactions.
• Comfort working in a fast‑moving, mission‑driven healthcare environment.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams including clinicians.
