Software Engineer - Mobile, iOS

About the role

We are looking for an iOS engineer to help Compass build a mobile platform that makes the home buying or selling experience delightful. You will work with engineers, product and design partners to shape feature design, scoping and prioritisation.

Key responsibilities

• Build agile mobile products and services in a startup‑like environment.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to launch features that solve real‑world customer problems.
• Independently deliver features with guidance, weighing technical trade‑offs and recommending solutions.
• Perform code reviews, participate in design reviews and write high‑quality automated tests.
• Apply testable, maintainable and stable approaches while upholding high standards of code quality and operational rigor.
• Develop expertise in one or more components of the iOS platform and create clear documentation (diagrams, runbooks, decisions).

Required profile

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of professional iOS development experience shipping apps to the App Store.
• Strong collaboration skills with product, design and engineering stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Required skills

• Swift, SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency.
• iOS development best practices and design patterns.
• Integration with RESTful backend services.
• Familiarity with reactive programming frameworks (a plus).
• Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
