Software Engineer

About the role

Siemens is building intelligent products that bring generative AI into the physical world. As a Software Engineer you will develop platforms, APIs, and systems that integrate large language models and other generative technologies into real‑world applications, spanning the software‑hardware boundary.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build performant, maintainable distributed services.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and infrastructure teams.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical deep dives.
• Contribute to team standards and continuously improve system reliability and performance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and operating backend or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with machine‑learning pipelines or AI infrastructure is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native architectures (Kubernetes, serverless, event‑driven).
• Ability to take a problem from design to production independently.
• Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small technical efforts.
