Software Engineer

About the role

Meridian is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to join its New York office. You will design, build, and maintain the backend systems that power the company’s AI-driven products, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop clean, maintainable code for backend services and APIs.
• Integrate diverse data sources and work with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Collaborate with product and AI teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, improve development processes, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, documentation, and continuous improvement of the software stack.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science, including algorithms, data structures, and systems fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping production-grade backend web services.
• Proficiency with Linux environments, Git, and standard development tooling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with AI/ML systems or data-intensive applications is a plus.
