Software Engineer

About the role

Siemens is building intelligent products that embed generative AI into the physical world. As a Software Engineer you will help create the platforms, APIs, and systems that bring large‑language models and other generative technologies to real‑world applications, spanning the software‑hardware boundary.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance distributed services.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with machine‑learning engineers, product managers, and infrastructure teams.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical deep‑dives.
• Contribute to team standards and continuously improve system reliability and performance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and operating backend or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in at least one language such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with machine‑learning pipelines or AI infrastructure is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native architectures (e.g., Kubernetes, serverless) is a plus.
• Ability to take a problem from design through production independently.
