Software Engineer – Infrastructure Tooling

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain core libraries, frameworks, and developer tools that power our engineering organization. The role focuses on developer infrastructure for Android Automotive OS (AAOS), ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure tooling for building and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core libraries, frameworks, and developer tools used across the company.
• Own and improve the developer infrastructure for building and testing Android Automotive OS.
• Operate and maintain the Gerrit code review system supporting AAOS and Android platform development.
• Develop automated code analysis, static analysis, and quality‑gating tooling for large AAOS codebases.
• Collaborate with Android, platform, and application engineering teams to enhance code quality, build performance, and release workflows.
• Establish best practices, standards, and clear development paths for tooling and infrastructure.
• Serve as the primary technical owner for all developer tooling related to Android Automotive OS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, including at least 1 year in an automotive technology environment.
• At least 12 months of hands‑on experience with the listed technologies.
