Software Engineer III – Java – Neovest

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is looking for a seasoned Software Engineer III to join the Neovest team within Commercial and Investment Banking. You will design, develop, and maintain market‑leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end software solutions, including design, development, testing, and technical troubleshooting.
• Write secure, high‑quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms.
• Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI coding‑assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge, including AI‑assisted automation, to enhance development efficiency.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met.
• Gather, analyze, and visualize large data sets to drive continuous improvement of applications and systems.
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with at least 3 years of applied experience.
• Extensive experience in Java development.
• Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proven ability to develop, debug, and maintain Java and SQL code in a large corporate environment.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools and a solid understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
