Software Engineer III – Government Data Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer III to design and deliver scalable software that enables government agencies to extract insights from large, complex data sets. You will work on sophisticated web applications, backend services, and data transformation pipelines that support law‑enforcement and risk‑assessment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into software designs.
• Develop, test, and maintain components of moderate complexity across Java, JavaScript, C/C++.Net and related technologies.
• Implement coding best practices, conduct code reviews, and ensure high test coverage.
• Operate in Agile and Waterfall environments, resolve technical issues, and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain and enhance data models, perform data manipulation, and handle large‑scale data processing.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Eligible for a TS/SCI security clearance (no active clearance required).

Required skills

• Proficiency with data manipulation languages and SQL.
• Understanding of data modeling and data‑science principles.
• Experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML.Net.
• Familiarity with Windows and UNIX operating systems.
• Knowledge of industry best practices such as code coverage.
