About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer III to join the Core team focused on engineering productivity. You will help build the foundational tools and platforms that enable developers across Google to ship high‑quality code faster.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain developer‑focused software solutions.
• Lead or participate in design reviews, evaluating trade‑offs among technologies.
• Write and review production‑grade code, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to break down technical barriers and improve code health.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience).
• At least 2 years of professional experience in C++, Python, Java or Go.
• 2+ years building developer tools that improve velocity, code quality, or code health.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and large‑scale system design.
