Software Engineer III – Android Development

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is looking for a seasoned Software Engineer III to join its Consumer and Community Banking team. You will work within an agile squad to design, build, and maintain market‑leading Android applications that are secure, stable, and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot Android software solutions using Kotlin.
• Write secure, high‑quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms.
• Leverage enterprise‑approved AI coding‑assist tools to improve code quality, generate tests, and automate documentation.
• Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met.
• Analyze large data sets to identify hidden problems and drive improvements in code hygiene and system architecture.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in mobile development, preferably on Android.
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience for diverse engineering teams.
• Experience working in Agile environments with daily scrums and iteration planning.

Required skills

• Android development with Kotlin.
• Architectural patterns: MVVM, MVP, MVC.
• Tools & frameworks: Git, Android Studio, Robolectric, Mockito, Espresso, RxJava, Dagger, Retrofit.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools.
