About the role
Mastercard is seeking a Software Engineer II to join its Payment Enablement program. In this role you will help design, develop, test, deploy and support software that powers critical business capabilities across the global payments network.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in prioritization discussions with product and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and delivery goals.
- Estimate, design, develop, test, deploy, configure and document assigned workstreams.
- Contribute to code, design and process discussions, evaluating trade‑offs and proposing practical solutions.
- Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos and acceptance meetings with product owners.
- Develop a deep understanding of end‑to‑end technical architecture, business domain and system dependencies.
- Design, develop, test and maintain software applications and services that meet security, scalability, resiliency and performance standards.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.
