About the role
Uber is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and test high‑impact software applications that support its global transportation platform. You will work with a diverse technology stack and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve engineering productivity and system reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software components for integration into Uber’s production systems.
- Evaluate complex data and technical challenges, providing recommendations to resolve issues.
- Support business operations by building tools that enhance engineering efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents to maintain system reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and monitoring of live services.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience working with distributed systems and the software development lifecycle.
