Software Engineer I – Open Distribution (New Grad)

About the role

As a Software Engineer I on the Open Distribution team, you will help build the next generation of partner inventory synchronization for StubHub. This early‑career position offers hands‑on production experience, mentorship, and exposure to AI‑assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI‑assisted tools (Claude, OpenAI, other GenAI) to improve debugging, documentation, and developer productivity.
• Design, implement, and maintain backend services that ingest, synchronize, and publish partner inventory.
• Apply distributed‑systems concepts such as event‑driven architectures, APIs, and data‑processing pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and pair‑programming sessions.
• Enhance partner‑facing APIs, error handling, and internal tooling.
• Diagnose production issues using logging, monitoring, and observability platforms.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or candidate with internship, co‑op, or substantial academic project experience.
• Strong foundation in computer‑science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with at least one backend language such as Java, Python, or Golang.
• Basic experience building or consuming APIs.
