Software Engineer – Full-Stack & AI Platform

About the role

SOCOTEC is looking for a Software Engineer to join its US engineering team. This full‑stack position will work on modern React front‑ends and Python back‑ends while contributing to AI‑powered features across the company’s global business units.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship end‑to‑end features using React and Python (Django/FastAPI).
• Own small services or components from specification through deployment and operation.
• Contribute to AI‑driven functionality such as prompt engineering, agent workflows, RAG pipelines, and LLM integrations.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions and influence technical direction.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and engage in code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering lead, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into production software.
• Help improve developer practices including CI/CD, testing, documentation, and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional full‑stack software engineering experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across time zones with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Curiosity about AI/ML and interest in building AI‑powered products.

Required skills

• React (or comparable modern frontend framework).
• Python with Django, FastAPI, or similar.
• REST APIs and relational databases.
• Docker containerization.
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure).
• CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
