Software Engineer, Early Career

About the role

As an Early Career Software Engineer at Notion, you will help shape core user experiences and accelerate how people discover value in the platform. You will work on product features from concept to launch, collaborate with design, product, and data teams, and own projects that impact millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, build, and ship product features, iterating based on customer feedback.
• Improve performance, reliability, and quality of high‑traffic experiences.
• Run experiments that drive activation, retention, collaboration, and revenue.
• Develop internal tools and platform improvements to help engineers ship quickly and safely.
• Contribute to team norms, code quality, and a culture of learning.

Required profile

• Less than two years of engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and make critical technical decisions.
• Passion for building lasting, high‑impact software.
