Software Engineer, Early Career (AI)

About the role

As an Early‑Career AI Engineer at Notion, you will help shape core user experiences and build AI‑powered features that millions of users rely on. You will work closely with design, product, and data teams to prototype, ship, and iterate on intelligent capabilities that make Notion more capable and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with your team to prototype and ship AI‑driven product improvements.
• Own a scoped productionisation project, integrating new models or techniques, adding monitoring and guardrails, and improving latency, cost, or reliability.
• Contribute to evaluation frameworks, run experiments, analyse results, and translate learnings into product or system changes.
• Collaborate on model‑powered features end‑to‑end, covering UX, APIs, retrieval, orchestration, quality, and reliability.

Required profile

• Less than two years of engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Customer‑mindset with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Passion for building and iterating quickly on AI/ML prototypes.
