Software Engineer, Data Visualization

About the role

We’re hiring a Software Engineer to build an easy‑to‑use visualization suite for our dataset, collection, quality, and evaluation pipelines. The role focuses on turning raw data into interactive views so researchers and operations can quickly assess data health without resorting to notebooks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship a visualization suite covering data collection, processing, analysis, and UI (web and/or CLI) for the dataset and data engine.
• Enable fast inspection of examples, batches, coverage, quality, and failures to support research and operations.
• Build live views for collection health, taxonomy coverage, and evaluation results, integrated with pipelines.
• Collaborate with Head of Dataset & Quality, Evals Lead, research, and ops to define visible metrics for decision‑making.
• Treat visualization as a product, optimizing latency, defaults, shareability, and support for video and pose data.

Required profile

• Strong software engineer with a track record of data visualization, internal tools, or product UI on heavy data.
• Passion for making others faster rather than just creating pretty demos.
• Comfortable handling large media such as video or pose data.
• Effective in a 0→1 environment where many definitions are still evolving.
