Software Engineer, Connectivity Cloud

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Cloud Engineer with strong Java and Kotlin expertise to join our Connectivity team. You will design, build, and operate cloud‑native microservices that process high‑throughput data streams at scale. The role involves working with both Kubernetes‑orchestrated workloads and serverless functions on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain reliable, scalable distributed microservices from prototype to production.
• Automate deployment pipelines and reduce operational roadblocks using CI/CD best practices.
• Design and implement secure, high‑performance APIs with REST and gRPC, leveraging Protocol Buffers for serialization.
• Handle high‑throughput asynchronous processing and message‑driven architectures.
• Champion engineering best practices: code reviews, automated testing, and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional backend development experience on complex, scalable cloud services.
• Hands‑on experience deploying services on AWS (Lambda, EC2, MSK, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store) and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD and Helm.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin; TypeScript experience is a plus.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, message queues (Kafka, SQS, NATS) and event‑driven architecture.
