About the role

WellSky is seeking a Software Engineer to join its team and help shape the future of healthcare technology. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, delivering high‑quality, scalable features that improve end‑user efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain components of WellSky solutions with a focus on code quality, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with solution managers, designers, and cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high‑impact features.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in both production and development environments.
• Optimize system performance and scalability through continuous improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to internal standards and industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit tests and contribute to integration, load, and performance testing.
• Leverage AI tools and platforms to enhance decision‑making and streamline workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2‑4 years of relevant software development experience.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation and work irregular hours as needed.
• Ability to follow security policies and work extended periods at a computer workstation.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Working knowledge of Agile development and the SDLC process.
• Strong debugging and performance‑tuning capabilities.
• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Network, server, and application‑status monitoring experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Use of AI tools and platforms for software development.
