Software Engineer – Build AI‑Powered Enterprise CPQ Platform

About the role

Roadrunner is building a new enterprise CPQ platform called PQA (Prompt, Quote, Approve). As a Software Engineer you will help replace broken CPQ tools with AI‑driven agents and high‑performance workflow engines, working on‑site in San Francisco.

Key responsibilities

• Own product features end‑to‑end, delivering production‑ready code for core systems used by Account Executives.
• Design, develop, and ship AI agents that automate quoting, deal modeling, and multi‑step workflows.
• Build scalable workflow engines that handle multibillion‑dollar transaction approvals with sub‑millisecond latency.
• Collaborate directly with sales users, gather feedback, and iterate rapidly on features.

Required profile

• Proven track record of building and shipping complete software products.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to balance speed and quality.
• High autonomy, a builder’s mindset, and clear communication with technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate to work onsite.

Required skills

• Experience with AI/LLM systems in production.
• Familiarity with agent tooling, evaluation frameworks, or Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
