Software Engineer – Banking Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop, implement and maintain software solutions that support banking operations and digital channels. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable and innovative banking products for a leading financial institution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test web, mobile and backend applications for banking platforms.
• Integrate core banking systems with third‑party services such as payment processors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement and maintain security controls to protect sensitive financial data.
• Document technical specifications, workflows and user guides.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups and retrospectives.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team.
• Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to meet regulatory requirements (PCI‑DSS, GLBA, FFIEC).
• Support incident management, root‑cause analysis and production issue resolution.
• Continuously improve coding, testing and DevOps practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven software development experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness to be on‑call for emergency support and flexible working hours.
