Software Engineer – Backend (TypeScript)

About the role

Wealth.com is looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and scale the backend systems that power our estate planning, tax planning, and AI‑driven products. You will work on a TypeScript‑first stack, own end‑to‑end delivery of features, and help shape the engineering culture of a fast‑growing fintech platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations with enterprise wealth‑management platforms.
• Take features from specification through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post‑launch monitoring.
• Write production‑grade TypeScript code with strong testing, observability, and operational discipline.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate ambiguous problems into well‑scoped technical solutions.
• Contribute to system design decisions around scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and on‑call rotations.
• Help define engineering tooling, best practices, and culture as the organization scales.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping backend systems to production.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript or deep experience with another typed language such as Java, Go, C#, Kotlin, or Rust.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable backend services.
