Software Engineer – Backend & API Development

About the role

Silna Health builds technology that speeds up treatment approvals, reduces administrative burden for clinicians, and ensures timely payments for providers. As the platform scales to a broader customer base, the engineering team is expanding to tackle clinical case management, external APIs, and cutting‑edge AI integrations. This role reports directly to the CTO and works closely with the COO on business‑driven software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance a Flask‑based backend connected to PostgreSQL, containerized and deployed on AWS ECS.
• Build and maintain an external‑facing API that defines standard data schemas for prior authorizations.
• Implement clinical case‑management features to replace email‑based workflows with a robust system.
• Integrate advanced AI models (e.g., OpenAI voice, Anthropic computer‑use) into automation pipelines.
• Collaborate in a fully in‑person, high‑speed environment, sharing context and solutions across the engineering team.
