About the role

Meta is looking for an experienced Android Software Engineer to join its product teams and help build cutting‑edge experiences for billions of users worldwide. You will work on complex technical challenges, create new features, and improve existing mobile products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, operations, and infrastructure teams to deliver innovative Android applications.
• Implement custom user interfaces using the latest Android SDK and programming techniques.
• Analyze, profile, and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance.
• Lead major initiatives, set technical direction, mentor peers, and onboard new team members.
• Architect scalable systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and reduce technical debt.
• Own components or features end‑to‑end, ensuring reliability and maintainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience (or 4+ years with a PhD).
• Proven track record of driving change and leading complex technical projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to explain technical problems and propose solutions.
