Software Engineer – AI & Bing Places Data

About the role

The Microsoft AI – Bing Places Data team is looking for a passionate Software Engineer to accelerate the adoption of location, places and POI data across Copilot and Bing Search experiences. You will work on large-scale data analytics, machine learning, AI and LLM models to build and maintain backend services that power rich entity data for billions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to understand user requirements and incorporate continuous feedback.
• Contribute to solution architecture, create design documents and ensure alignment with security, privacy and compliance standards.
• Write maintainable, extensible code for backend services and participate in code reviews following Microsoft engineering standards.
• Develop and refine test plans, integrate automation and ensure robust test coverage.
• Integrate telemetry, improve tools and processes, and maintain reliability, accessibility and regulatory compliance.
• Champion a customer-first design approach to enhance loyalty to Copilot, Search and partner experiences.
