Software Engineer, Agent (New Grad 2027)

About the role

As a Software Engineer, Agent you will design and ship production‑grade AI agents that power mission‑critical customer experiences for large enterprises. You will own the full lifecycle of these agents, from pilot to continuous iteration, and work directly with customers to solve real‑world problems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver high‑performance, reliable AI agents that run in production across finance, healthcare, and commerce.
• Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC) with end‑to‑end ownership, defining best practices for building, tuning, and evolving agents.
• Partner with large enterprises and cutting‑edge startups to understand business challenges and embed AI agents at scale.
• Shape the future of Sierra’s platform by surfacing unmet needs, prototyping new tools, and collaborating with research and product teams.

Required profile

• Experience building and scaling end‑to‑end production systems.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments.
• Builder mindset with high agency and ability to ship creative solutions.
• Comfort working directly with customers to understand needs and deliver impact.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
• Familiarity with eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go.
