Software Engineer 1 – Back-End (Spring Boot, Java)

About the role

Tebra is looking for a motivated Software Engineer 1 to join the back‑end team building the next‑generation Practice Management platform. You will design, develop, and maintain core services that power critical business operations while collaborating with product, design, and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using Spring Boot, Java, and cloud technologies.
• Architect robust solutions that meet product requirements and improve system reliability.
• Lead the creation of foundational services that enable new product features.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce clean‑code standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Research emerging technologies and apply best practices to enhance development processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 1 year of professional software development experience.
• Strong grasp of object‑oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and clear written and verbal communication.
