Software Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Software Architect to lead the design and governance of complex, distributed systems within LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ Insurance vertical. The role bridges Enterprise Architecture and Engineering, translating strategic objectives into concrete technical guidance while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization.
• Act as the primary liaison between Enterprise Architects and development teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Partner with cross‑functional architects and technical groups to drive consistency, scalability, security, and resilience.
• Mentor and train development teams, promoting adoption of modern technologies and architectural principles.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that meet business needs.
• Lead resolution of complex technical issues, performing root‑cause analysis and coordinating resources.
• Conduct design reviews, provide hands‑on technical leadership, and guide architecture evolution.
• Monitor system health, performance, and cost trends, delivering recommendations to mitigate risks.
• Identify opportunities to transform reusable components into shared platform capabilities.
• Research industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance organizational capabilities.
• Foster collaboration, inclusivity, and effective communication across teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software architecture design for large‑scale, distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of scalability, security, resilience, and performance optimization.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable technical guidance.
• Experience mentoring and guiding development teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
