Social Worker / Licensed Supervisor (LCSW) – Georgia Department of Behavioral Health

About the role

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a qualified Social Worker/Licensed Supervisor (LCSW) to join the team at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta. This full‑time position provides clinical oversight, case management, and leadership for behavioral health services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide social work oversight and supervision for West and Central Units at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta.
• Conduct social work assessments, discharge planning, and screenings for developmental‑disability waiver consumers.
• Manage complex patient cases, including ADA patients.
• Supervise a team of six full‑time and two part‑time professional staff.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Current LCSW (or LMSW with at least one year supervisory experience) licensure in Georgia.
• Minimum three years experience in inpatient or outpatient mental health settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of community resources and ability to coordinate discharge planning.
• Experience supervising clinical staff and directing behavioral health programs.
