Social Worker – Extra Help

About the role

The Extra Help Social Worker will collaborate with Community Programs leadership, staff, school partners and university faculty to strengthen Social‑Emotional Wellness and Learning (SEWL) initiatives at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The role focuses on supervising social work interns, creating practical intervention resources and providing consultative support to promote evidence‑informed practices.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor social work interns working on youth‑focused projects.
• Develop and disseminate practical intervention tools and resources for staff.
• Consult with faculty and community partners to align SEWL initiatives with grant requirements.
• Support staff in implementing evidence‑based social‑emotional practices.
• Ensure compliance with grant and university policies related to youth development programs.

Required profile

• Current employee of the University of Arkansas System (including student employees or graduate assistants).
• Background in social work or a related field with experience in youth development.
• Ability to work collaboratively across academic and community settings.
• Strong organizational and mentorship abilities.
