Social Media and Design Specialist

About the role

The Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media and Design Specialist to join its Communications team. This full‑time position will support storytelling across social media, web and print to promote the mission, research, and impact of AAES. The role works closely with faculty, researchers, and extension staff to translate complex information into engaging content.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a social‑media content calendar aligned with institutional priorities.
• Create high‑quality graphics for social media posts, website features, and printed materials.
• Write and edit clear, compelling copy for diverse audiences.
• Monitor engagement metrics and adjust strategies based on analytics.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
• Support special events, campaigns, and outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing social‑media platforms and producing visual content.
• Strong writing and editing abilities.
• Ability to translate research findings into accessible, audience‑focused narratives.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
