SOC Analyst Internship – Remote (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cyber Security Analyst Intern to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team. This paid, remote internship offers 15‑20 hours per week on off‑hours shifts, providing hands‑on experience in real‑world security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating, designing, developing, administering, and implementing cyber security systems and solutions.
• Provide input on research and analysis of security issues.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives using knowledge of information assurance, network security, data analytics, machine learning, and cyber response.

Required profile

• At least two years of college coursework toward a degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems Management.
• US citizenship.
• Willingness to pursue industry certifications such as CCNA‑Security, Palo Alto, Security+, or Network+.
• Self‑starter, self‑motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Linux or Windows operating systems.
• Experience with at least one programming or scripting language.
• Knowledge of data encryption, multi‑factor authentication, LDAP/Active Directory, IP networking, and network traffic/packet analysis.
• Familiarity with virus/malware analysis and general computer security concepts.
• Experience (or strong interest) in cloud computing, machine learning, data analytics, and AI algorithm implementation.
