Snowflake Lead – Data Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Snowflake Lead to drive data engineering initiatives for a Property & Casualty insurance client. The role is onsite in either San Antonio, TX or New York, NY and requires deep expertise in Snowflake, ETL development, and cloud data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onshore and offshore engineering teams to design, build, and maintain Snowflake data solutions.
• Develop and support production Snowflake objects, including Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and advanced SQL queries.
• Architect and implement ELT/ETL pipelines using Talend and Python, incorporating CDC and data modeling best practices.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake deployments and ensure performance tuning, security, and RBAC compliance.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities such as Snowflake Cortex and feature‑engineering pipelines for fraud detection and risk scoring.
• Provide production support, root‑cause analysis, and month‑end closing activities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and act as the primary technical liaison.

Required profile

• 12+ years of data engineering or analytics experience.
• 8+ years of hands‑on Snowflake development and production support.
• 4+ years of experience as a technical lead managing distributed teams.
• 4+ years in the Property & Casualty insurance domain.
• Strong communication and customer‑facing leadership abilities.
