Snow Removal Operator

About the role

Discovery Land Company is looking for a Snow Removal Operator to keep the parking areas at Homewood Mountain & Lake Club safe and accessible during winter storms. The position is based on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, California and involves operating equipment during early‑morning shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy‑duty loaders and snow‑removal equipment to clear all parking lots.
• Perform pre‑shift inspections of equipment, fluid levels, and tire chains.
• Fuel and maintain machinery, reporting any leaks, spills or damage promptly.
• Work off‑hours, including weekends and holidays, with shifts typically between 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
• Coordinate with mechanics for repairs and ensure environmental protection by preventing fuel or hydraulic spills.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Base Operations Director.

Required profile

• Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical capacity to stand, walk and lift items over 50 lb for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Heavy equipment operation (loaders, snow‑plows).
• Class C driver’s license.
