SMB Account Management Manager – Food & Beverage

About the role

Square is seeking a results‑driven leader to manage a team of Food and Beverage Account Managers. You will own growth and retention for a portfolio of SMB merchants, ensuring high‑quality engagement and measurable business outcomes. The role reports directly to the Head of US SMB Account Management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a remote team of 10‑12 Account Managers focused on SMB Food & Beverage merchants.
• Drive upsell, retention and customer satisfaction through pipeline management and coaching.
• Conduct structured 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and team cadences to ensure accountability.
• Partner with Product, Operations and Sales to surface merchant insights, resolve escalations and improve the customer experience.
• Support leadership in executing team OKRs and implementing program improvements.
• Identify enablement opportunities and reinforce best practices across the team.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex or high‑impact merchant issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading remote account‑management teams.
• Track record of driving revenue expansion, software adoption and churn reduction.
• Strong data‑driven mindset with ability to coach and develop team members.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills with Product, Operations and Sales.
• Ability to manage pipelines, set OKRs and execute performance‑focused cadences.
