Site/Civil Engineer – Tyler, TX

About the role

Langan is looking for a Site/Civil Engineer to join its Tyler, TX office. In this junior position you will support the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering and land‑development projects across a variety of sectors, including mixed‑use, retail, residential and institutional developments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land‑development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents such as reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related software.
• Analyze maps, drawings, test data and aerial photographs to evaluate soil, terrain, hydrology and geological conditions.
• Recommend new approaches to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics to project tasks.
• Collaborate with team members on project assignments and support other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or professional).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• EIT certification or registration for the FE exam.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
