Site Superintendent

About the role

Precision Control Systems, a member of the Hill Group, seeks an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee multiple design‑build renovation projects for public entities in Illinois. The role involves managing up to five active construction sites, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage field operations for up to five concurrent construction projects.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to guide subcontractor scopes.
• Serve as primary contact for subcontractors, vendors, and partners on‑site.
• Conduct weekly coordination, pre‑task planning, and owner update meetings.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress against milestones.
• Set up on‑site facilities, communications, and oversee consultants.
• Record daily logs with photos and maintain digital documentation.
• Ensure OSHA‑compliant safe work environment.
• Close out projects: punch‑list completion, as‑built approvals, O&M manuals, training, warranty letters, and final payment.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical, electrical, or general contracting environments preferred.
• Ability to mentor and teach team members.
• Proven track record of meeting critical deadlines and solving complex technical problems.
